About the role

This is a critical role to drive our next stage of cultural and organisational transformation and ensuring that people remain at the heart of our business.  The core of the role will be to coach, grow and develop our team to deliver our business goals and nurture our excellent employee experience. The role includes responsibility for our commitment to sustainability. It is a rare opportunity to have full remit across the employee lifecycle and development of an an outstanding culture.

This role is a minimum of 22.5 hours per week, but has the opportunity to be full time. The role can be office-based or hybrid, so you must be able to regularly commute to our Wokingham office.

How you’ll help our business:

  • Proactive talent acquisition & retention planning
  • Management of our recruitment process and employee onboarding experience
  • Drive team organisational structure and planning
  • Promote and support the physical and mental wellbeing of our team
  • Embed and drive forward our company values throughout the business, ensuring our processes support them
  • Guide and coach our team in setting their own individual objectives and personal development plans and ensure they are appropriately aligned to the company objectives
  • Facilitate appropriate learning & development solutions to support company and individual objectives
  • Own our commitment to sustainability and audit, adapt and deliver our sustainability plan
  • Ensure a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction by measuring, reviewing and determining plans to improve
  • Develop and maintain our benefits programme
  • Deliver excellent HR administration and best practice policies
  • Ensure 10 Degrees adheres to regulatory and legal employment obligations.

About you

You display the personal characteristics represented in our company values of being skilful, transparent, empathetic, ethical and reliable.  It is vital that you are self-sufficient and a problem-solver, as you will work independently.

What you bring to the role

  • A professional qualification in Human Resource Management or related subject or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience of, or a strong passion for, driving cultural and organisational structure transformation
  • Proven experience in delivering and promoting people initiatives  in a small and growing organisation
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong presentation skills and computer literacy
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR practices
  • Excellent organisation skills underpinning an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to initiate and maintain positive relationships with team members
  • The ability to work by yourself and in a small team; be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
  • A desire to remain technically proficient and continually maintain knowledge in people management
  • A specific interest in culture development and mental wellbeing
  • Personal credibility; someone that others will trust with sensitive data and information.

  • Competitive industry salary of £40,000-£45,000 (FTE), subject to experience and skillset

Opportunity for part-time or full-time hours with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.

*Following lockdown, we have returned to our Wokingham office on a hybrid-basis and are working through the details of how we will work as a team going forward.
